Last updated: 28 September 2026
Your privacy matters: We process personal information in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy also explains our use of cookies and your choices.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Weizter Franchisee (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2020/016686/07), trading as Weizter Kitchens (“Weizter”, “we” or “us”), is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. Our website is www.weizter.co.za. We design, supply and arrange the installation of kitchens and cupboards and currently use this website primarily for information and quotation enquiries.
2. Personal information we collect
When you contact us or request a quotation, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, suburb or property address, details of the work you require, design preferences, measurements, photographs, plans and any information you choose to provide in your message or supporting documents. We may also collect correspondence and appointment information when responding to you.
If you later become a customer, we may process the information needed to prepare and administer your separate project agreement, including approved designs, installation or delivery details, signatures, invoices and payment confirmations. Our website and security systems may collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, website activity and cookie identifiers.
3. Why we use your information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries; assess your requirements; arrange consultations; prepare designs and quotations; communicate with you; administer an agreed project; arrange manufacture, delivery and installation where applicable; provide after-sales support; maintain business records; protect our website; and comply with legal obligations.
Under POPIA, processing must have an applicable lawful justification. Depending on the activity, this may include your consent, steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, a legal obligation or a legitimate interest recognised by POPIA. We do not treat submitting a quotation enquiry as consent to unrelated electronic marketing.

Use these contact details for requests concerning your information.
4. How we obtain information and when it is required
We generally collect information directly from you through website forms, telephone calls, email, WhatsApp, consultation discussions and project documents. Where necessary, we may obtain relevant project details from a person you authorise to act for you or from service providers involved in your project.
Providing information for a general enquiry is voluntary, but we need suitable contact details and sufficient project information to respond or prepare a meaningful quotation. Certain further information may be necessary to enter into and perform a customer agreement, issue invoices or comply with accounting and other legal requirements. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to provide the requested service.
5. Sharing information with service providers
We share personal information only where reasonably necessary and lawful. Depending on the service, recipients may include website and email hosts, contact-form providers, IT and security providers, designers or consultants, manufacturers or suppliers, independent installers, stonework subcontractors, delivery providers, professional advisers and authorities where disclosure is required by law.
We require service providers processing information on our behalf to use appropriate safeguards and handle information only for authorised purposes. We do not sell customer contact lists. [VERIFY: any additional providers that receive enquiry data, such as CRM, advertising platforms or automated form integrations.]
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our website may use essential cookies to support security, prevent spam, remember appropriate settings and operate enquiry forms. Depending on the tools enabled, we may also use analytics cookies to understand website traffic and marketing or embedded-content cookies when visitors use features such as external videos, maps or advertising integrations.
Where consent is required for optional cookies or related tracking, we will request it before activating them and provide a way to change or withdraw your choice. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser, although some website functions may be affected.
7. Analytics, external content and marketing
If enabled on our website, analytics tools may collect usage statistics, visited pages, approximate location, device details and related identifiers. Embedded maps, videos or social-media content may allow the relevant external provider to collect information when you activate or view that content. The providers actually in use should be identified in the cookie settings or cookie inventory. [VERIFY: the analytics, advertising, map, video and social-media services currently active.]
We may send project-related messages in response to your enquiry or to administer a project. We send unsolicited marketing by email, SMS or similar electronic channels only where POPIA permits it, including where we have valid consent or a lawful existing-customer exception applies. Marketing messages will offer a straightforward opt-out.
8. Storage, retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for an applicable warranty or support period, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. When retention is no longer justified, we will delete, destroy or de-identify information as required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards suited to the information and risks involved, such as access controls, system updates, backups and appropriate service-provider arrangements. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a security compromise triggers POPIA notification requirements, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected individuals as required by law.
9. International hosting and transfers
Some website, email, analytics, cloud or other service providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we will do so only where an applicable condition of section 72 of POPIA is satisfied, such as adequate contractual or legal protection, valid consent where appropriate, or a transfer necessary for a requested service or contract.
10. Your POPIA rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable laws, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you; request access to it; ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion where legally appropriate; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis; and object to direct marketing.
We may request reasonable proof of identity to protect your information and may refuse or limit a request only where the law permits. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
11. Children’s information and other websites
Our website is intended for people enquiring about our services, not specifically for children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children without an applicable lawful basis or the necessary authorisation. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, please contact us.
Links to third-party websites, including social-media platforms and external media, are governed by those providers’ own privacy notices. We are not responsible for independent third-party privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy and contact
We may amend this policy to reflect changes to our website, service providers or applicable law. The date shown above identifies this version. If we introduce materially different uses of personal information, we will provide any additional notice or obtain consent required by law.
